Moving forward, RSU 56 will give out a coupon for free student admittance to a Dirigo event along with a popcorn or order of fries to students who are present each week. (Tickets will be distributed at the end of each month.) Being present all week means no tardies, no early dismissals (unless for a school event), no excused or unexcused absences.

For staff, you already receive free admittance, so you will get a free popcorn or order of fries.

Ranger Tegan Urbanski met with Miss Nolette's class virtually all the way from Katmai National Park in Alaska to talk to students about the park, its keystone species, and the fat bears we all love so much!

After completing our personal narrative unit and learning about polio, today we learned about Eleanor Abbott, the creator of the game Candyland. She was a teacher who was battling polio herself, and she wanted children in the hospital to have something fun to do while they recovered.

The Maine Fish and Wildlife class field trip to the Maine Wildlife Park (formerly known as the Gray Animal Farm) was a success.
